The Basics

You know those areas that are used all the time, but also seem to be neglected (and messy). I'll help you declutter and organize your entrance, bathroom, bedroom, kitchen, or office. Together, we'll come up with an intuitive system that makes your life a little easier. I am not a minimalist, but I can help create a less disorganized and more uplifting environment.

Got Kids?

Feeling overwhelmed with the amount of stuff that come with kids? It never ends! I'll work with you (and your space) to create a living environment that feels good and functions well for the whole family. We can tackle your kids room (with permission) to create easy-to-manage storage systems and look at ways to handle the inevitable kid-spread throughout the house.

  • In March 2020, with the world teetering on the brink of a global pandemic, my partner and I and our 4-month-old baby moved from the huge loft we'd been renting into a much smaller, more conventional apartment. On the day of our move we were completely disorganized and overwhelmed. By the time the movers had brought in all our furniture and boxes, every nook and cranny of the new apartment was so crammed with stuff that we couldn't even walk around freely. It was chaos! Karen was a lifesaver. She came over and immediately helped us find a path forward -- figuring out which spaces we needed to set up right away to meet our basic needs and how we could set up provisional spaces of comfort and convenience while we made bigger organizational decisions about the space. Her presence was calming and reassuring, and she confidently took the reins at the moment when our overstimulated nervous systems needed it most!

  • After moving, I was so happy to finally have a backyard but also completely exhausted and uninspired. Karen helped me plan and even physically arrange the space, considering not just my practical needs and budget, but the big dreams I'd always had for a garden, and the little moments I wanted to have there. She didn't push me into one decision over another, but helped create the foundation for an organic, evolving space. (Her extensive knowledge of Zone 5A plants also helped a lot!)

  • I had been really putting off the task of rearranging a room in my apartment. It just felt daunting and too much to take it on. But with Karen’s help and guidance I was able to tackle making the space exactly what I had hoped it would be. It’s now my favourite room in the house! Karen’s support throughout the process was invaluable.
